Looking for a career in the Mining Industry?

The Mining Potential program is an industry validated essential and work readiness skills training program for women, youth, and newcomers. The program helps prepare learners for careers in the Canadian minerals and metals sector and provides industry with skilled and safety-conscious workers.

This free program is offered in a blended learning experience and includes:

165 hours of classroom training: delivered virtually by an industry expert
120 hours of enrichment activities: site visits, hands on activities and guest speakers from industry partners. Included are the following training certificates; WHMIS, CPR, Service Type Common Core, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space and Working at Heights.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is supplied for all learners.


Starting February 16th, 2022 in Sudbury and Timmins.
