Description:

This one-year program is for individuals who love animals and want a career in the field of animal health. Students acquire the abilities to do office work, communicate effectively, and provide quality customer service. The program focuses on the basic notions of animal health, particularly that of domestic pets (dogs, cats and others) and large animals. The program provides an overview of the most common animal diseases and injuries, as well as animal anatomy, terminology and veterinarian pharmacology.

Admission requirements:

  • Ontario high school diploma or its equivalent from another province, or mature student status
  • 1 French credit: grade 11 or 12, pre-college or pre-university

  • Vaccination against hepatitis B and rabies
