Description:

This program follows the standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities for basic levels 1, intermediate 2, and advanced 3 for the job of industrial millwright. The program covers the general concepts required for this field: safety, mathematics, AutoCAD, measuring instruments, lubricants, welding, electricity, bearings, pumps, compressors, rigging and hydraulics. Furthermore, international competition by Canadian companies has introduced to the industry a range of specialized processes, such as computer-assisted laser alignment, programmable automatons, and vibration analysis. Practical internships allow students to implement the learning and skills they have acquired in the course throughout the year.   Graduates of this program have the knowledge and abilities required to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all types of mechanical materials, hydraulic systems, conveyors, pumps, compressors, material handling systems and drive systems.
