Description:

This program covers the technical functions relating to various fields of electrical engineering. The technician installs, maintains, and calibrates electricity-generation and distribution equipment, assembles prototypes or does the final assembly of protection systems and reading/meterage devices using  manual and electrical tools and measurement instruments. The technician’s job also entails assisting technologists and engineers in the testing, installation, activation, maintenance and calibration of electrical machinery and electronic control systems Our industrial laboratories (PLC, MCC, AC Drives) ensure an education that is relevant to various industries. The program covers all required elements of level 2 of electrical apprenticeship.

  • After obtaining the diploma, the student may enroll in year 3 of the Electrical Engineering Technician or the Electrical Engineering Technologist –Industrial (Technologie du génie électrique ou Technologie du génie électronique – industriel) program.
  • All of our programs are offered in French. Taking into account the realities of the job market, Collège Boréal prepares its students to work in both official languages. Your program could include English texts and documents and the possibility of an internship where bilingualism is required.
