Description:

This program leads the student to choose a specialization in the fields of programming or network management.

The programming option gives the student a solid grounding in programming and database management. In addition to training in other areas of computer sciences, such as networking and hardware, graduates of this program emerge with good skills in structured programming, object-oriented programming, and structured query language (SQL). The graduate will be able to develop conventional applications as well as applications for the Internet, including advanced websites. The student will also be able to design, maintain, and interrogate complex databases.

The network management option gives the student a solid education in network and server administration. In addition to training in other areas of computer sciences, such as programming and hardware, graduates of this program will have strong design, installation, and server and network-management skills for servers and networks of all sizes. The student will also be able to install security mechanisms on networks where data is stored.

Computer Engineering Technician (2 years) or equivalent
