Description:

This program helps prepare the student to work as a cook. Students learn to prepare and cook various foods, complete meals, specific and varied dishes and special meals under the direction of dieticians. Also: supervision in the kitchen, including food handling. Classes also cover the notions of creating menus, evaluating portion sizes, evaluating ingredient requirements and costs, and how to order supplies.
