Key Performance Indicators 2013-14: Collège Boréal Still on Top!

April 15, 2014 – Sudbury – Collège Boréal

Following the publication of the Key Performance Indicators by Colleges Ontario, Collège Boréal is proud to announce that it has maintained or even improved on the results obtained for a number of these indicators! Indeed, for the 10th time in 13 years, Boréal received the highest satisfaction rate in the province from its graduating students. Moreover, Boréal is still the college with the highest graduation rate in the province of Ontario. Finally, Boréal maintains its 3rd place rating as it pertains to student satisfaction!

Since 1998, the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities has retained the services of an independent firm to conduct surveys on the performance of programs and services offered by 24 colleges in Ontario. Here are a few salient points pertaining to these Key Performance Indicators for 2013-14:

84.5 % of students enrolled at Boréal are satisfied or very satisfied with their college experience;

85 % of these students attest that they have access to quality learning experiences in their respective programs;

Finally, 90% indicate that they would not hesitate recommending Collège Boréal to friends or any interested person.

85.9 % of our students found a job after receiving their diploma.

Graduate Satisfaction Rates:

85.6 % of Boréal graduates are satisfied or very satisfied with their college experience;

93 % of them would recommend Collège Boréal as a first class postsecondary institution;

89 % would recommend the program in which they were enrolled.

Employer Satisfaction Rates:

86.6 % of employers who hired Collège Boréal graduates are satisfied or very satisfied with their new employees;

And finally, 100 % of all employers questioned would recommend hiring a Collège Boréal graduate!

Collège Boréal used this fact finding exercise to ask a few specific questions in order to evaluate the work it does in the areas of recruitment or to get a sense of its reputation and strengths in order to better understand the needs of the student population. The information gathered through this survey will assist in the development of more strategies leading to better programs and services in the future.

Collège Boréal is very proud of its success with students, graduates and employers. Of course, I wish to remind everyone that these results are due to the hard work of the entire Boréal team: the teaching personnel, support and administrative staff, including every person who contributes to enriching our students’ lives every single day. I want to congratulate them for these incredible results as they confirm once again the extent of their commitment and dedication.”

–          Pierre Riopel, President, Collège Boréal
