SUDBURY―  Cambrian College and Collège Boréal have revealed the winners of a $500 prize draw following the Free2Dream event held on June 24, 2017, at the New Sudbury Centre.

The joint recruitment event was intended to connect with Greater Sudbury residents who have been thinking of going back to school and pursuing the career of their dreams. Both colleges have diversified their program delivery methods and increased the number of credit transfer opportunities to better meet the changing needs of non-traditional students, allowing them to reach their professional goals in less time.

Recruitment and liaison staff members from both colleges were in attendance to provide information on available programs and apprenticeships, financial aid, employment services, upgrading, and much more. For those who applied on-site, Cambrian and Boréal paid the $95 application fee to the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS). Those individuals also had the opportunity to participate in a draw to win $500.

The names of the two winners were revealed yesterday. Congratulations to Ines Bagaoui and Blessy Morvan! Come September, Ines has expressed interest in attending Cambrian while Blessy will be continuing her studies in Boréal’s Practical Nursing program.

“A college education can change lives and fulfill dreams,” said Jean Brown, Vice President Academic at Cambrian College.  “The dedicated faculty and staff at Cambrian College and Collège Boréal recognize how important and difficult the decision to transition back into the classroom can be, and will be there with you every step of the way.”
