Boréal Online now offers a new program: Office Administration – General

Collège Boréal will begin offering the Office Administration – General program online in January, 2020. This is Boréal’s twelfth online program.

The Office Administration – General online program is a distance education program that requires seven weeks to complete. It allows students to acquire the basic skills needed to for office jobs in bilingual workplaces.

Graduates of the program offer employers a range of organization, communication, customer service and office skills.

A flexible hybrid formula

The program is offered in what is known as a hybrid format. This innovative model gives students the opportunity to study at home and fully supports their engagement with the program. Through requisite modules within a virtual classroom, students experience authentic interactions with their professors and peers.

Boréal’s full-time or part-time online programs aim to provide the flexibility that more and more students require in their schooling and to make education more widely accessible. Students who are looking to specialize or want to change career paths need to harmonize the time devoted to pursuing a new diploma with their other professional and personal responsibilities.

Boréal’s twelve online programs cover a wide array of skills and industries. Here is the complete list:

  • Early Childhood Education, Administration
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Gerontology, Interdisciplinary
  • Human Resources Management
  • Health Services and Community Services Management
  • Advanced Correctional Practice with Complex Populations
  • Court Clerk

  • Office Administration – General

Quotes

“Boréal Online is a true reflection of Collège Boréal: the content of online programs complements those offered on campus, while their format allows students to develop a sense of belonging to the Boréal family, thanks to the virtual classroom technology and personalized support for distance learners.”

Lyne Michaud, vice-president, academic, Collège Boréal

“Collège Boréal has developed a high level of expertise in the Office Administration program that is currently offered in a face-to-face classroom setting. As jobs in this area, such as administrative assistant, become increasingly complex, it is important to make our training programs more accessible, particularly for people who are already in the workforce and want to upgrade their skills.”

Diane Sénécal, dean, School of Business and Community Services, Collège Boréal
