As a parent or “payer of fees”, do I have access to all information?
As a government organization, Collège Boréal is subject to the provisions of the Access to Information Act and Privacy Act. This law protects the privacy of every student. As such, without a student’s written consent, Collège Boréal will not share any personal information with anyone, including those who pay tuition on behalf of someone else.
To access the academic or financial records of a Boréal student, as a parent or guardian, he or she must fill out a Release of Student’s Personal Information consent form. For the document to be binding, the form must be signed by the student and a witness.
Nonetheless, we will gladly share general information regarding our programs, services, policies, etc.
All fee refunds will be made in the student’s name at the address provided. Parents wishing to obtain the reimbursement of expenses in their name should ask their child to send us a written notice to this effect.
What are the next steps?
Here are the components of Collège Boréal’s admission process:
- confirm your program choice online at www.ontariocolleges.ca as soon as possible;
- make sure to meet all program requirements if the admission offer is conditional;
- pay tuition and enrol;
- students will receive a notice by email confirming the availability of the invoice for the upcoming academic year;
- visit the online student portal MonBoréal to choose a payment method prior to the date indicated on the invoice;
- students are official enrolled once the minimum $500 non-refundable deposit is payed;
- check your email regularly as well as the online student portal for news, announcements, or important dates;
- attend the first day of session (see collegiate calendar).
