A short history of the Collège

Founded in 1995, Collège Boréal is the only French-language community college in northern Ontario. It has also served central and south-western Ontario since 2002.

Collège Boréal exists to increase access to public post-secondary education for the francophone population. In September 2009, we inaugurated a new campus in Timmins and started construction of a second student residence.

Collège Boréal set itself the mandate of contributing to the growth of its clientele as well as to the development of the communities it serves. Students are the reason for its existence.
